Rollo

A roller shade, made to measure, in Washi or fine fabric. Light, quiet and understated, Rollo turns a window into a plane of soft light - a calm alternative to heavy curtains. By day it holds the sun at a gentle distance, so the room fills with an even glow and the view fades to a soft silhouette. By night it closes the window like a paper lantern, warm from within. Rolled up, it all but disappears; rolled down, it becomes the quietest wall in the room.

Rollo blinds in a double-height living room with floor-to-ceiling windows

Rollo is the simplest way to bring Wood & Washi into a room, and the most versatile. It rolls down to fill the window with a soft, even glow and rolls up to disappear almost entirely. It feels at home in a minimalist living room, a classic study or a contemporary office, and it works just as well on a single kitchen window as on a wall of glass.

Play of light
  • The atmosphere of Japanese traditions

Horizontal ribs of anodized aluminum divide the shade into segments, following the modular proportions of the Japanese shoji. Place them where the interior asks for them: at the height of a worktop, a shelf or a window transom, or in a rhythm of your own, with wide fields and narrow bands. Ribs come in anodized tones or inlaid with wood veneer, and the bottom rib is finished on both sides.

  • Made for any window

Every Rollo is made to measure, including for windows of unusual sizes and proportions. Mount it to the ceiling or the wall. For a whole wall of glass, any number of Rollos hang side by side on their own brackets, as close as they can be, each operated on its own, with the ribs running through at the same height. For a wide opening that should move as one, Split Rollo joins two shades on a single central bracket, with only a hairline between them: operate each one independently, or couple them so they rise and fall together.

  • Comfort and harmony

It fits perfectly into a laconic home interior, and can take its rightful place in the office space. The combination of natural materials, shapes and colors with modern design creates an atmosphere of harmony and beauty.

Wide selection

The collection is wide enough that no two Rollos need ever be alike. Dozens of Washi patterns, from near-plain sheets to papers with the bark fibers still visible; the textile depth of Woven Washi; the full range of Textures, from 1% sheers to blackout, in colors refreshed every year. Add the ribs, in anodized tones or wood veneer, and the freedom to place them where you like, and a Rollo becomes a piece designed for one window alone.
