Panel
A contemporary take on the Japanese shoji. Panel slides on slim ceiling tracks to dress a window of any size, or to divide a room while letting the light pass through. Where the shoji once separated the rooms of a Japanese house with paper and wood, Panel does the same for a modern interior: a wall that is not a wall, a screen that moves aside with one hand, a boundary made of light.

Panel is built from wide, flat panels that glide sideways on a ceiling track. Slide them apart to open the view or the room; draw them together for privacy and a soft, even light. In front of a window, Panel replaces curtains with calm vertical planes. In an open-plan space, it becomes a room divider: a quiet screen between living and dining, bedroom and study, that lets daylight travel from one side to the other.
Light, texture, and durability in one material
Washi gives Panel its particular quality: a surface that is matte and quiet by day, and glows like a lantern when the light comes from behind. Choose the density and texture of the paper to set the level of light in the room, from near-transparent to softly veiled. Protected on both sides by a fine, invisible layer, the paper resists knocks, dirt and humidity, and can be wiped clean, so Panel is at home in a kitchen or a bathroom as much as in a living room.
With the variety of patterns, colors and grades of Washi, truly unique Panel compositions can be created. Combine muted and bright tones from our palette, or work with us on a bespoke color. The number of panels, their widths and their order are set with you, for the window or the room they will shape.

Track and movement
Panels hang from carriages that run in a ceiling track with two to five channels, so several panels can pass in front of one another. Tracks are up to 6 meters long and can be joined for longer runs or more channels. Each panel attaches to its carriage with a hook-and-loop strip, which makes it simple to take down for cleaning or to exchange. Panel is moved by hand: slide it with a light touch, and it stays where you leave it.
