Textures is the textile side of Wood & Washi. Where our Washi carries heritage and softness, Textures brings a wide palette of weaves and colours together with certified performance: precise light control from 1% sheer to total blackout, flame-retardant fabrics certified for hospitality and commercial use, and widths of up to 3 metres for the largest windows. Sourced from leading European mills, every fabric is chosen for its quality, its hand and the way it holds the light.
It is the material for demanding interiors - premium residential, hospitality and commercial spaces where function matters as much as form. So you specify the performance a project needs, and keep the unmistakable Wood & Washi aesthetic.
Performance is only valuable when it's proven. Textures fabrics are certified flame-retardant to the standards that hospitality and commercial projects require: B1 (DIN 4102-1) and, by fabric, EN 13501-1 (B-s1,d0), EN 13773 Class 1, M1 and NFPA 701 for the United States. Our screen fabrics carry OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and Greenguard Gold certification: free from VOCs, phthalates, formaldehyde and heavy metals, and safe for direct skin contact. Light fastness of up to 8 on the 8-point scale means the colours stay true for years, and the fabrics can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Test reports and certificates are available on request for every fabric in the collection.
Textures gives you the full range of light. Sheer screen fabrics with an openness of 1%, 3%, 5% or 10% filter daylight into a soft, diffused glow while preserving the view; blackout blocks it entirely; and a wide decorative range sits in between. Whatever the level, the collection shares one coherent design language - so light control never comes at the cost of consistency across a space.
Total darkness, engineered in layers. A flame-retardant polyester base, a polymer-coated back that stops the light, and a coloured textile face directed into the room - decorative, while deepening the overall opacity. Suitable for bedrooms, hotel rooms and media spaces, and for moist atmospheres.
